2. I'm born on, *080692* ; and yeappp, I'm the typical Gemini, mouthy and talkative!
3. Even though I look like I'm 15 but mind you, I'm old enough to drive :D

A month of celebrating;

It's the month of celebrating again! As for this year, I can't join in the festive madness due to my grandfather's recent death. I'm not complaining but it's just a pity I can't join the celebrating fun, I'm going to miss out celebrating Christmas with my friends. But, it's a good thing that I still can fulfill my tastebuds :) Festive food is NOT a pantang, mum. *chuckles*
Every year, we, the chinese people will celebrate The Dōngzhì Festival or Winter Solstice Festival, in chinese --> 冬至. At this time of the year, we get to eat a sweet delicacy, Tangyuan --> 湯圓. These glutinuous riceballs couloured brightly are said to symbolise reunion. It is compulsory to have one of these during the festive season, not only as a tradition but also to enjoy good ole' chinese yumminess :) The old folks say, after you finish eating Tangyuan, it signifies that you have grown another year older. It's a yummy tradition!
Tangyuan's come in a lot of varieties. For example, the most common way of serving Tangyuan, cooked in sweet soup. The glutinuous rice balls are either stuffed or plain. I personally like stuffed ones if it is served in sweet soup :p, there is too, another way of serving; in savoury broth, the dry style of eating Tangyuan. I like my Tangyuan's covered in peanut powder and not stuffed. A hot serving would be mostly appreciated and tastebud-thrilling.
I'm looking forward to granny's Tangyuan downstairs. My tongue is tingling xD I can't wait to grab a bite! That's all for today. Happy Dongzhi Festival! Enjoy your Tangyuan's! Toodles~
